For many years, my struggle with acne was up and down. It was sometime between my senior year of high school and freshman year of college that my acne hit a critical point. I was in a vicious cycle of getting a bad breakout, being devastated because of the breakout, picking my face to no end, and then more devastation and tears when I ended up with a scar. There was no end in sight and my habits only made the situation worse.

I tried every over-the-counter product you could imagine, every home remedy, and finally antibiotics. I had a Dermatologist tell me I had bad skin and, “there was nothing he could do about it.” I was 20 years old and bad skin crippled my self-esteem. I had no idea that I was going about it the wrong way.

Shortly after seeing the Dermatologist, my mom sent me to an Esthetician. It was an absolutely life-changing experience. Not only did she tell me she could fix my skin issues, but she could also keep them at bay. I started getting facials regularly and later on some laser treatments to help with the scarring. I would walk out of her office feeling so much better about myself. One day, while receiving a facial, I thought to myself, “I want to make other people feel this good.” That's when I began researching Esthetics education.

I’ve been a practicing Esthetician for ten years now and a shop owner for five years. I know the damage bad skin can do to your self-esteem. I've lived with it and hate to see others go through the same issues. I am here to help my clients find solutions for their skin concerns. I take each case personally and treat each person as if they were my own family.

My shop is also home to two other highly qualified Estheticians, a Nurse Practitioner, and a Nail Technician. To me, selfcare is so much more than a pamper session, it's a whole body, life-changing opportunity, and my business reflects that belief. I am so blessed to be an Esthetician and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and skills with all of you.
